British Gymnastics Award Scheme

In our gymnastics classes gymnasts get the chance to work

towards the British Gymnastics Awards.

The awards include

Pulse Raising Activities

Flexibility & Posture

Strength

Jumping

Balancing

Weight on Hands & Locomotion

Rolling

Partner Work

Hand Apparatus

Apparatus Preparation

The Awards start at Level 8 and work towards Level 1.

The Gymnasts are required to pass a certain number of moves

on each badge before they move on to the next level.

If you would like more information regarding the badges

please speak to one of the coaches.

British Gymnastics Proficiency 2

Once the gymnast has achieved their Level 1 badge

they can progress on to the proficiency 2 awards.

These are awarded in several disciplines and start at bronze

progressing through silver to gold.

Club Certificates

The club has designed a series of certificates that cover all the

 British Gymnastics Badges.

For each piece of apparatus there are 9 Levels

 Bronze Merit – Credit - Distinction

Silver Merit – Credit - Distinction

 Gold Merit – Credit - Distinction
