| 1. | At what age can I join the club? |
The club will train boys and girls from the age of 5 years old. |

| 2. | Do you have classes for under 5s? |
Unfortunately we do not have any classes for children under the age of 5 years old. The local leisure centres do have classes for under 5s. |

| 3. | Do you do classes for adults? |
| Unfortunately we are unable to offer classes for adults. | |
| 4. | Do you have classes for boys? |
| Yes, the club will train boys and girls. | |
| 5. | Do you have a boys only class? |
Our classes may have boys and girls in them. The boys will work in a separate group when using the apparatus. |

| 6. | Where do you train? |
In the main hall at Olympos, Burgess Hill. |

| 7. | How long are the classes? |
| Gymnasts will start in a one hour class. | |
| 8. | What apparatus do the gymnasts use? |
We use the floor, vault, bars, beams, trampette and tumble. |

| 9. | What do you need to wear? |
Girls – For classes any leotard without a skirt or close fitting shorts and t shirt is suitable. All jewellery must be removed; hair tied back and bare feet. |

| 10. | Does my child have to do competitions? |
No they do not but we do encourage all gymnasts to enter the club competition. |

| 11. | Do you have any award schemes? |
| Yes we work the British Gymnastics award scheme. For more information see the badges page. | |
| 12. | Do you work in terms and half terms? |
| No, we aim to train all year round except at Christmas. There may be occasions when Olympos has major events booked and we have to cancel the sessions. Gymnasts are not charged for cancelled sessions. | |
| 13. | How much does it cost? |
One hour classes cost £4.50. The hourly rate reduces if gymnasts train more hours a week. |

| 14. | How do I pay? |
Classes are paid for 1 month in advance payable on the first session of the month. Payments can be cheque or cash. |

| 15. | What happens if my child misses a session or goes on holiday? |
All sessions must be paid for in advance except for long term injury or illness. |

| 16. | Is there a membership fee? |
The club membership fee is £25 a year at present. £17 goes direct to British Gymnastics for the gymnast’s individual membership. The remainder covers county and regional affiliations and administration. The membership year runs from October to September. |

| 17. | Is there a charge for Badges/ certificates? |
British Gymnastics awards cost £2.50 for awards 8-2 and £3.50 for award 1. The club certificates are free. |

| 18. | Can I watch the sessions? |
There is a balcony above the main hall where parents are welcome to watch the session. |
|
| 19. | How many gymnasts are there in a group? |
We aim to work at a ratio of 8 gymnasts to 1 coach. |

| 20. | Are your coaches CRB checked? |
| Yes all our coaches are CRB checked. | |
| 21. | Do you have first aiders? |
| Yes we do have first aiders at sessions. | |
